Pattern for Mittens: Colorful Yarns is not about knitting...it is about a
group of women gathered to weave "colorful stories" together. This seems like
a logical place, though, to share a "Mittens for Growing Grandkids" pattern. I
may tweak it from time to time, so please check the date at the bottom of the
pattern for the most recent version. Enjoy :)
A Colorful Yarns group is easy...
Meet regularly, once a month, at the home of the hostess...shine, rain or snow.
Bring to share
~Light fare to nourish our bodies
~Tales of joy to make us laugh
~Our worries to help us care for each other
~A project to work on or a project to teach
Gather in small groups, in any nook or cranny inside or outside to knit,
exercise, read, surf the web, engage in a book review, play cards, meditate,
practice Reiki or T'ai Chi Chih, listen to music, sing songs, to "just be"
however the spirit moves us on any given day. It is a place of rest in the
middle of things.
Part of the beauty of colorful yarns is that it will happen no matter the
weather and no matter if the hostess is home on the allotted day … nobody has to
call anyone to yea or nay or why not. We love children and pets, but this time
is set aside just for us. Respectfully, there is no extra work for the hostess.
We encourage our guests to invite women of kindred joyful spirit to join us.
Not a club, just a loose gathering, trusting that we are welcomed.
